Mission

To care for and improve New Hanover County’s parks. Through these improvements we enhance more than the county’s beauty, we improve the health, community and economic strength.

We’re advocates too- making sure that people know what is available to them and that their support is vital. How will we accomplish our goals? By establishing ways for people to give, get involved, and get into the parks!

Leadership

The Parks Conservancy’s 13- member Board supports county parks through fundraising, events, and outreach; manages gifts and endowments; fosters community partnerships; oversees volunteers and committees; promotes park heritage; and serves as ambassadors for parks and programs.
